“As the Prairieland trial in Texas, USA is underway, actionists in Magandjin (so called Brisbane, Australia) dropped a banner on March 1st in solidarity with the brave defendants. “VICTORY TO THE PRAIRIELAND DEFENDANTS. SOLIDARITY FROM ABORIGINAL LAND TO TURTLE ISLAND.”

In Prairieland more than a dozen beloved community members are on trial, accused of being part of an “antifa cell” with charges ranging from attempted murder to material support for terrorism after a noise demo that resulted in a cop claiming to have been shot. The accused are facing potentially decades in prison & one is even being threatened with deportation for possessing anarchist zines – despite not even having been at the demo.

Actionists also held a 2nd banner for passing traffic highlighting the cases of just a few of Amerikkka’s most recent political prisoners: Jakhi McCray, accused of lighting 11 NYPD cop cars on fire, Casey Goonan, serving 20 years for the burning of just 1 University police vehicle, Leqaa Kordia, whose been held in ICE detention for nearly a year for speaking out for & supporting her family in Palestine, Tarek Bazrouk, a young Palestinian man serving a nearly 2 year sentence for standing up for himself against zionist aggressors & Malik Muhammad, serving a 10 year sentence for their actions during the 2020 George Floyd uprisings.

On the home front, the Queensland gov has been introduced its ‘Adult Crime, Adult Time’ policy, targeting Indigenous children on offenses such as ‘rioting’, now carrying a life sentence. This is just the latest furthering of the racist anti-Blak foundations the colony was built on, & another clear example of how the so-called ‘justice system’ disproportionately targets aboriginal people to lock away forever. The head pigs of the colony are also pushing more & more laws to criminalize protest & free speech, including the latest ‘hate speech’ bill which would make phrases such as ‘from the river to the sea’ illegal. The parallels are clear. From one colony to another, we stand with all those locked away & all who resist these racist prison systems. As long as the state tries to criminalize dissent, there will be those who resist.”
